The APQ8064 kernel has now been removed in favor of linux-next, linux-stable, and linux-lts. This follows the MSM8960, another SoC in the Krait family.
As this is a potentially breaking change, please test if this change works with your device. The following devices are potentially broken as of now:
If you find that your device is broken, please read the Krait mainlining guide for more details.
In short, this is what needs to be done:
- Identify the patches from the old, close-to-mainline kernel that you need.
- Upstream the patches.
- Let LogicalErzor know what you've sent upstream. The LKML patch will be copied over to the shared kernel tree, so that others don't duplicate or conflict with your work.
- Update the configs in linux-next, linux-stable, and/or linux-lts if necessary.
- Edit the device package to fix any potential issues and upstream to pmaports.
