To streamline maintenance and reduce fragmentation, support for the Steam Deck has been consolidated under the generic-x86_64 device port and the valve-jupiter port has been dropped.
If you are currently running pmOS on a Steam Deck, you must reinstall the OS to continue receiving updates. Existing valve-jupiter packages (including the kernel) are no longer maintained and will be orphaned during upgrades. When choosing or building an image for this device, select the generic-x86_64 device port.
We understand that reinstalling is inconvenient, but this step is necessary to ensure a stable and supported experience. If you encounter any issues during the reinstallation process, please reach out to us on Matrix or IRC or file a new issue in our bug tracker.
